Notes from Mrs. Thomas
I will begin scheduling Parent Teacher Conferences the first week in October. Notes will also go home that week. I would like to schedule families with multiple students in our school first to ensure they can have their conference on one day. Conferences will be held the third week in October on Monday and Wednesday from 3:30 to 7:30 and on Thursday from 7:30-12:30. There is no school Thursday or Friday.
Please remember it is your responsibility to call the office, 785-717-4170, if your student is going to be absent. After 3 unexcused absences you will receive a truancy notice from the school district.

Mrs. Mills is our new first grade teacher. She joined us this year after teaching at Seitz Elementary on Fort Riley. Mrs. Mills is from Leavenworth, Kansas. She is married and has a baby boy named Mateo. She also has a crazy miniature Aussie named Remy.
Mrs. Mills received her degree from Kansas State University. That is probably why her favorite color is purple. Go Wildcats! She has been teaching first grade for 5 years. Mrs. Mills’ favorite place to visit is a coffee shop. And playing the piano is her hobby. Maybe she will play for us one day.
We are so happy Mrs. Mills joined us at Milford Elementary. Once a Laker always a Laker.
